PKHomeDex is developed and published by Little Guys Studio LLC ("Little Guys Studio", "we", "us"), a Massachusetts limited liability company. You can reach us at [email protected].
These terms are an agreement between you and us. They cover the PKHomeDex Android app and this website, including any update to either. How the app handles information is described separately in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.
By downloading, installing, or using PKHomeDex you agree to these terms. If you do not agree to them, uninstall the app and stop using it.
PKHomeDex is distributed through Google Play. Google's own terms apply to your download and to any purchase you make there, alongside these terms. Between the two, these terms govern your use of the app itself, and Google's terms govern the store and the transaction. Google is not a party to these terms and is not responsible for PKHomeDex.
You must be at least 13 years old, or older if your country sets a higher minimum age for consenting to the processing of personal data. If you are under the age of majority where you live, a parent or guardian must agree to these terms on your behalf. PKHomeDex is a general audience app and is not directed to children.
PKHomeDex catalogs a Pokémon HOME collection. With your permission it captures the screen while you page through your Pokémon, reads each summary page using on-device text recognition and image matching, and saves what it read to a database on your device. Around that it offers a Pokédex encyclopedia, a Living Dex completion tracker, a team builder, search and filtering, and backup and export.
The app reads what is already displayed on your screen. It does so only while you have scanning active. It cannot modify your Pokémon, your boxes, or your Pokémon HOME account. It does not connect to Nintendo's or The Pokémon Company's services.
PKHomeDex is an unofficial, fan-made app. It is not affiliated with, endorsed, sponsored, or approved by Nintendo, The Pokémon Company, Creatures Inc., or GAME FREAK Inc. See section 15.
We grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, revocable license to install and use PKHomeDex on devices you own or control, for your own personal, non-commercial use. The app is licensed to you rather than sold. We reserve every right not expressly granted here.
Except where applicable law expressly permits it despite this section, you agree not to:
You decide which apps and services to use PKHomeDex with. You remain responsible for the agreements you have with those services and for the accounts you sign in to. PKHomeDex reads what is displayed on your screen and writes only to its own storage on your device and, if you turn cloud backup on, to your own Google Drive.
Reading a screenshot means recognizing text and matching images. Both of those make mistakes. A number can be misread, an icon can be matched to the wrong game, a form can be identified incorrectly, and values measured off a chart can land a step away from the truth. This is a property of the technique rather than a defect we expect to eliminate.
That is why the app shows you every scan for review before anything is saved and marks the readings it is unsure about. Please use it. Check what the app read against the game before you rely on it for a trade, for competitive play, or for any decision that matters to you.
The same applies to the reference data in the app, such as base stats, learnsets, availability, and event and shiny information. It is compiled from public sources and can be incomplete, out of date, or wrong. We do not warrant that anything the app displays or records is accurate or complete.
Your collection is stored in the app's private storage on your device. We operate no server that holds it and we keep no copy of it. That is deliberate. It has consequences worth planning around:
Keeping backups of your collection is your responsibility. We are not liable for collection data that is lost, corrupted, or not recoverable.
PKHomeDex is free to download. Its Pokédex encyclopedia is free to use in full. The free version shows ads and limits how much of a scanned collection it will store and how many teams you can build. The limits that apply are always shown in the app. We may change them.
A limit never hides Pokémon you have already saved. If your collection is over the limit, for example after restoring a backup, it stays fully visible, searchable, and exportable. Only the saving of new scans is blocked.
PKHomeDex offers a one-time purchase that removes ads and a Pro subscription available monthly or yearly with a free trial. Prices are shown in the app and on Google Play in your local currency, including tax where it applies.
A purchase unlocks features in the app. It is not a purchase of the app itself, of data, or of anything that survives the app being discontinued under section 18.
The free version displays ads supplied by Google AdMob. We do not choose or control which ads you see. An ad may link to a site we do not operate and are not responsible for. The advertising component has no access to your collection. If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, the app asks for your advertising choices before the first ad and lets you change them later in Settings. Buying ad removal stops the app requesting ads at all. What the ad network receives is described in the Privacy Policy.
To keep the download small, the app fetches sprite images and some reference data from our content delivery service as you need them, and caches them on your device. That service is provided as a convenience. We may change, rate limit, or discontinue it. The app is built to keep working with the images bundled inside it if it is unavailable.
The PKHomeDex application, its source code, its interface and design, the PKHomeDex name and logo, and this website are owned by Little Guys Studio LLC and are protected by copyright and trademark law. Apart from the license in section 5, these terms grant you no rights in them.

Sprite and artwork images are sourced from the PokéAPI sprites project. Animated sprites for newer generations include custom artwork created by the Smogon community's Sprite Project. Thank you to those artists. Reference data in the app is compiled from public sources.
Nothing in these terms gives you any right in property belonging to anyone other than us. Your license under section 5 is a license to use the app, not a license to any of the material described in this section.
PKHomeDex relies on services operated by others: Google Play for distribution and billing, Google Drive for the optional backup you turn on yourself, Google AdMob for ads in the free version, and Google's ML Kit for the text recognition that runs on your device. Those services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for them, for their availability, or for changes they make.
If you send us a problem report or a suggestion, you allow us to use it to understand and improve the app, without any obligation to you and without payment. A problem report can include a screenshot that you choose to attach, so please do not send us anything you would rather we did not have. We do not treat feedback as confidential.
We may add, change, or remove features. We may also stop publishing or supporting PKHomeDex. The app is provided on an as-available basis. We do not promise that it, or the downloads in section 13, will be uninterrupted or error free.
If we discontinue the app, we will make a reasonable effort to say so in advance, in the app or on this site, so that you have the chance to export your collection first.
You can stop using PKHomeDex at any time by uninstalling it. Uninstalling deletes the app's data from your device, so export a backup first if you want to keep it.
We may end the license in section 5 if you materially breach these terms, in particular section 6. Sections 9, 14, 15, 17, and 20 through 24 continue to apply after your license ends.
PKHomeDex is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, non-infringement, or accuracy. In particular, we do not warrant that a scan will be correct, that the app will run without interruption or error, that defects will be fixed, or that data stored on your device or in your own Google Drive will be preserved.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of implied warranties, so parts of this section may not apply to you. If you are a consumer, you keep whatever statutory rights the law of your country gives you. Nothing in these terms limits them.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Little Guys Studio LLC is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, or the time and effort you put into building a collection, arising out of or relating to your use of PKHomeDex, even if we have been advised that such damages are possible.
Our total liability for all claims relating to PKHomeDex is limited to the greater of the total amount you paid for PKHomeDex purchases in the twelve months before the claim arose, or fifty United States dollars (US$50). These limits apply whatever the legal theory. They apply to the accuracy of scans and to the loss of collection data in particular.
Nothing here excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law, such as liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. Some jurisdictions do not allow these limits, so parts of this section may not apply to you. Consumer statutory rights are unaffected.
To the extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless Little Guys Studio LLC and its members and contractors from any claim, damage, loss, or cost, including reasonable legal fees, arising out of your misuse of PKHomeDex, your breach of these terms, or your infringement of someone else's rights.
Please write to [email protected] first. Most problems are a misunderstanding or a bug. We would rather fix one than argue about it. If we cannot resolve something within 30 days, either of us may take it further.
These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, United States, without regard to its conflict of law rules. The state and federal courts located in Massachusetts have exclusive jurisdiction, except that either of us may bring a claim in small claims court where it qualifies.
If you are a consumer resident outside the United States, this section does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory law of your country of residence. It does not prevent you from bringing proceedings there where that law gives you the right to.
We may update these terms. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above. For a material change we will also give notice in the app or on this page. Changes are not retroactive. If you keep using PKHomeDex after a change takes effect you are accepting the updated terms. If you do not accept them, uninstall the app.
